United States Off To A Good Start In 2009

All during election; from both nominees, we were bombarded with the word ‘change’. But whom of which would stay true to their word?

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden says the Obama administration will change the direction and tone of American foreign policy by listening to its allies.

We need to stop thinking we’re such hot shit and listen. However, we must also be just where it need be. Keeping our friends close but our enemies closer. I believe this would be the key effort in changing our direction.

I just hope we focus on ourselves before offering a helping hand. That was our mistake…

Biden, however, is also asking more from European allies. He said the United States would ask them to take in detainees from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, which Obama has said will be closed within a year, the German broadcaster Deutsche Welle said.

The vice president called as well for a greater commitment by NATO members in Afghanistan and a united effort to force Iran to scrap its nuclear program.

Goes on to say:

… “time to press the re-set button” on American-Russian relations.

Biden is planning on meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister.

without a new 9/11 investigation, all the other GOP ‘furniture’ that is being cleaned and cleansed out of the system won’t make a difference economically or socially with that huge elephant in the middle of the room blocking everyone’s view of and confidence in our laws.

“… “time to press the re-set button” on American-Russian relations.”

Is that why the U.S. just signed the US-Georgia Charter? How’s that for a reset?

  3. Is this a joke? Are you serious that we’re “off to a good start?”

Please tell me this is satire…
