Many people think they won’t be able to sign up for new credit cards after filing bankruptcy. While all bets are off given the current credit crisis, in recent years the answer to the above question has typically been yes — it was fairly common to hear of clients receiving offers to sign up for credit cards soon after filing.
Why does this happen? It’s because credit card companies know that you won’t be able to file bankruptcy for a number of years, which makes you a relatively good credit risk.
Would be interesting to know what the driver did for a living. Maybe an ex-cop? Good driving none the less…
The next video is quite graphic, I would not recommend watching this video if you have a weak stomach (a life was lost).
Maybe his best bet was to just… stop and listen. You don’t fight fire with fire while outside the court room. You’ll end up losing your life and harming others (physically and mentally).
This next video does have sound, however it’s more towards the middle of the video.
“Killer boots man…”
Finish this off with a boom…

Do you shop at Wal-Mart? I mean who doesn’t want cheap electronics, cloths, food, furniture, and… everything else in-between? But before you find yourself stepping foot in their store(s), consider this:
Shank suffered severe brain damage after a traffic accident nearly eight years ago that robbed her of much of her short-term memory and left her in a wheelchair and living in a nursing home.
It was the beginning of a series of battles — both personal and legal — that loomed for Shank and her family. One of their biggest was with Wal-Mart’s health plan.
Eight years ago, Shank was stocking shelves for the retail giant and signed up for Wal-Mart’s health and benefits plan.
Two years after the accident, Shank and her husband, Jim, were awarded about $1 million in a lawsuit against the trucking company involved in the crash. After legal fees were paid, $417,000 was placed in a trust to pay for Debbie Shank’s long-term care.
Wal-Mart had paid out about $470,000 for Shank’s medical expenses and later sued for the same amount. However, the court ruled it can only recoup what is left in the family’s trust.
The Shanks didn’t notice in the fine print of Wal-Mart’s health plan policy that the company has the right to recoup medical expenses if an employee collects damages in a lawsuit.
Is this morally correct? Does this sit right in your stomach? Feel free to comment below with your opinion while starting awareness about such an incident. Share this with as many of your friends, family, co-workers as possible. Get the word out.
It has been a few months since this new fee has been featured. What a low move on Yahoo!’s part.
So you might be asking, what should I do? Muster up 35 dollars per year for a dot com? Of course not! First thing you need to do is find a new domain register, GoDaddy, Netfirms, Regfly, etc., and open an account with them. You are strictly looking for the feature “transfer”. Once you have found this, all you need to do is type in your existing domain name. For example:
Once you have paid (to transfer your domain) you’ll be prompted to enter an EPP (authorization code). This key can be found at your current register and consist of 8 numbers/letters. This code is unique to every domain and is basically it’s social security number. Do not share it with anyone.
Now all you need to do is wait… it normally takes 7 – 14 days for the domain to fully transfer to your new register. The domain will still remain active, so don’t worry. Also, if the domain is about to expire you can transfer at the last second – even though the wait time extends into the expire period.
Cheers and get away from Yahoo!’s ridiculous domain charges.

4. Do not open or apply for any new credit cards or loans. The reason for this is because the creditor can file a motion to disallow the discharge for fradulant obtaining that loan while contemplating bankruptcy, and the courts will see it as you had no intentions on paying the money back to the creditors.

2. Do not tranfer any property, title, or money to someone else or have it transferred to you. The reason you should not transfer property or title or money, is because the Bankruptcy Court could void this tranaction and require that the property be in with the Bankruptcy you are filing. Tranferring property and title and money, is a red flag to the courts that the you could be hiding assets from your creditor.

1. Do not make any payments to family, friends. This includes lending money to others, making payments on behalf of someone else, or paying back money you may have borrowed. This is because the Bankruptcy Court could view tranfer of money to family members up to four years, as if the debtor is trying to hide assets. The court could have a legal right to require that family member to pay back the amount given, even if it was a payment for a loan.

Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., a packaging products manufacturer with operations in several Georgia cities, said Monday that it and its U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries have filed to reorganize under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Del.
Most companies have their headquarters in Delaware due to the court system, that is why most larger companies file in Delaware or Southern District of New York . There will be many families effected in the bankruptcy most likely due to layoffs for this company and the suppliers of the Smurfit-Stone.

Yes, in many cases you can. In Rhode Island, you can keep vehicles you own outright up to $12,000 under the state’s “motor vehicle” exemption. Even if your vehicle is worth more, you could potentially hold on to a vehicle valued up to $17,000 by also claiming the state’s $5,000 “wildcard” exemption.
If a creditor has a secured loan on your vehicle, you can often keep your vehicle through a bankruptcy as well. Debtors can choose to reaffirm an auto loan, and if the car payments continue to be made, the secured creditor would have no reason to repossess the vehicle.
